After researching several private, parochial and public schools in the area we chose Alcott.  Our choice was based on the positive leadership style of the principal, the strength of the faculty and the school's proven test results.  Alcott's academic test scores have increased dramatically over the past five years and Alcott is now among the highest performing neighborhood schools throughout all of Chicago.  The school encourages participation from parents and the community.  The sense of community is fostered throughout the year with events such as parents night out, homecoming, movie nights, the annual fundraising auction and casino night. During our time here at Alcott, we are impressed and happy to be a part this school.
